Pac-12 Showdown: (19) Washington State Cougars vs (8) Oregon Ducks
Can Cougars Pull Off Shocker?

Pac-12 Showdown: (19) Washington State vs. (8) Oregon
The Ducks remain perfect against the spread after cover against Washington.
The 19th-ranked Washington State Cougars (6-0/3-0) head to Eugene, Oregon to take on the 8th-ranked Arizona Wildcats (44-6) as a 7.5-point favorite last week, while the Ducks suffered their first loss of the season but continued to cash tickets for bettors. Oregon is a massive 20-point favorite with a total of 62. Kick-off is scheduled for 3:30 pm ET and can be seen on ABC. Letās start our Washington State vs Oregon preview by diving into the Cougars from a betting perspective.
Sloppy Play Has Cougars Looking For Answers
Everything started well enough for Arizona. Jake Dickertās team was once moving up the polls but now is nowhere to be found.
Quarterback Cameron Ward has had very little help on the ground, resembling Mike Leachās teams rather than a more balanced attack that helped them to a 4-0 start. The ing game is fifth in the nation with 338.5 yards per game, averaging 34.3 points per game (31st), but there is a sense that as games go along the Cougars are unwilling to use a running game that has averaged 92.2 yards per game.
Despite a couple of crushing losses, Washington State is still one of the better programs to have your money behind with a 19-8 ATS record (+9.31 units) since 2021. They also have a sparkling record against Oregon, covering 13 of their last 18 meetings and 11 of 16 as an underdog. A win here would catapult the Cougars back into the NCAAF rankings discussion once again.
Letās continue our Washington State vs Oregon preview by turning our attention to the mighty Ducks.
Oregon Wonāt Take Cougars Lightly
It would be easy for Dan Lanningās team to take Washington State lightly. But all they need to do is go back a year when the Cougars gave the Ducks all they could handle in Pullman, 36-33. Lanning was the target of criticism after going for it on fourth down four times, twice inside the Huskies 10 which clearly would have given Oregon a win with six more points.
Lanningās offense failed to get the first down on three of four attempts. From that, Lanning said something that should stick out to bettors. He said heās going to be aggressive to win games. How did that translate to us? We have a coach who is going to run up the score this week to wash away the second guessers. The Ducks are 11-4-1 ATS in their last 15 games against FBS schools are 11-3 ATS in that span.
We conclude our Washington State vs Oregon preview with our official selection.
Always Take The Better Team With A Chip
When a team like Oregon has something to prove, the betting public needs to take notice. The 20-point spread has a little hate sprinkled in, and not because these two programs donāt like each other, but because Lanning hates the feeling of costing his team a victory.
The only way to clear that taste from your mouth is to blow your next weekās opponent out with āaggressiveā play calling. The Ducks are written in pen on our college football this weekend, we wish you all the best with your entire betting card.
