The Lynx are currently 16-6 and are two games up on the Storm in first place of the Western Conference. They are the third seed overall in the league. The Lynx currently have the third longest odds to win the WNBA championship at +900. They are led by Napheesa Collier who is averaging 20 points and 10.2 rebounds per game. Sitting at second place in the Western Conference with a 14-8 record, the Seattle Storm are looking to improve their seeding. They’re currently ranked fourth in the entire WNBA, boasting the fourth shortest odds to claim the championship title at +950. The Storm’s success is driven by a powerful core of four players: Jewell Loyd, Skylar Diggins-Smith, Nneka Ogwumike, and Ezi Magbegor.

Earlier Season Matchups
The Lynx and Storm have already played each other three times this season, and the Lynx have won each matchup. The first game was 83-70, a dead even battle through three quarters that the Lynx took control of with a 20-10 fourth quarter. Ogwumike dropped 20 points and nine rebounds in the win and Loyd had 10 points and 10 rebounds in the loss. Alanna Smith and Collier chipped in 22 points and 20 points respectively in the win.
In the next matchup, the game was much closer, going to overtime but resulting in a near double digit win for the Lynx after a great overtime performance. The Lynx locked things up on defense in overtime and held the Storm to just five points in extra time. Collier had a huge game for the Lynx scoring 29 points with nine rebounds and five assists. The Storm had 20-plus point games from Ogwumike, Loyd and Diggins-Smith in the game but without their scoring help in overtime they simply didn’t have enough to win and get their revenge from the first matchup three days earlier.
The Lynx completely dominated the last matchup between these teams, 83-64. They went into halftime down, but outscored the Storm 47-23 in the second half. The Lynx held Magbegor and Diggins-Smith to six and seven points each, but gave up 25 to Loyd. Kayla McBride had a huge scoring night for the Lynx, putting in 32 points to complement Collier’s 19 point, 14 rebound double-double.

Team Trends
The Storm are 9-3 at home this season and 8-4 against the spread at home. The Storm have lost two of their last three games and have gone under in three of their last four games. They are 14-8 against the spread on the season.

Without Collier these numbers become much less relevant, but the Lynx are 15-8 against the spread this season, and 8-3 against the spread on the road. They are 7-4 on the road straight up. Collier has missed just two games this season.
Collier Likely Out
Although the Lynx have won each matchup this season, the oddsmakers believe that the Storm should be favored at home for their fourth meeting. We believe for our Lynx vs Storm betting WNBA picks that the Lynx would have a good shot at winning and covering the +3 spread, but without Collier it will be an uphill battle.
Minnesota was the underdog in the first two games and won and covered in both. They were a one point favorite in the most recent matchup and won and covered as well. The total has gone under in two of the three matchups, but this is the lowest the total has been.
The Lynx will likely be missing their best player on Friday and that will hurt them immensely. Pick the Storm to take advantage of this and take care of business at home.
